jumping on the silver bins

7/1/15

Today was a typical guest services day.  Morning meeting was followed by cleaning bathrooms and resetting rooms.

We had finished all our jobs early today, by at least 11 am.  Rachael and my last job were to take the rubbish down to the silver bins at the bottom of the Our Chalet hill/driveway.

Rachael and I taking our bins for a walk

We had to jump on the rubbish in the bin to make it all fit (Something else that was also on our Staff Challenge!).  Walking down the icy hill with a bin full of rubbish was just as easy as pulling an empty one back up ... Not that easy!!

When we got back we decided that we would tick off some more of our Staff Challenge and organise a picnic outside.

It was to be the fastest picnic ever!  It took us longer to clean the tables of snow and ice than it did for us to heat up and organise lunch itself.  We couldn't get all the snow off either, so underneath the the table cloths and our bottoms when we sat were black garbage backs to protect us from getting wet. They did not, however, protect us from the cold.

The rest of the day we chilled and watched movies.  Dinner prep started at four, we had Sweet and Sour Chicken.  Danielle and I were on evening program, which was Swiss Night.  Chloe made the fondue which left us to run the song, play and the game of jeopardy.
