I have been a member of Girl Guides Australia since seven years of age when I joined the Morley Girl Guide Unit in Perth, Western Australia. There I completed the peak achievement award for 7-10 year olds, the Junior Baden Powell Award and participated in Leadership Skills training's, Unit camps and activities and a State Jamboree - 'Stargate' in 2000. At ten years of age I moved on to the Hampton Park Adventure Girl Guide Unit (Unit that caters for girls aged 11-14 years), where I achieved the peak achievement award - Baden Powell Award, in 2006. I attended the State Jamboree ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ and many Leadership Skills, Art and Outdoor Challenge/Adventure camps. From 2008 I was a member of the West Swan Rangeroos (Unit for girls aged 14-17 years) where I commenced working towards the Queens Guide Award. After completing challenges in all areas of the Australia Guide Program, an Interest certificate in photography, a Focus Certificate in the Arts, attendance at a Leadership Skills camp and regular attendance and contribution both at Unit, Region and State level, I was awarded the Queens Guide Award in 2010.
I am currently a Leader of the Morley Girl Guide Unit. This is a Unit for Guides aged from
6-11 years old. I assist with the
running of the Unit, organising craft, outdoor and camping activities, service
and leadership skills in addition to the overall management of the Unit in
regard to program, records and finance.
I recently completed my Leadership Qualification in February 2014.
In 2009, I represented Western Australia as a member of the
West Australian contingent which consisted of three Guides and one leader, at
the Girl Guides Australia 'Taking the Lead' National Leadership and Advocacy
Event, which was held in Sydney, New South Wales. In 2012, I was selected
to be a member of the Australian contingent which consisted of three girls and three
leaders, to travel to China and participate in the WAGGGS Asia Pacific Region
Friendship Caravan on the Silk Road, China.
I am currently an active member of the Olave Group of Western Australia where I am working towards my Olave Baden Powell Award. I participate in fortnightly peer group meetings, state events and activities, service projects and public relation opportunities.

My Scouting experience began when I joined the Hampton Park
Venturer Unit at the age of 15, in 2009.
There I achieved the Venturer Award and held the positions of Unit
Secretary, Chairman and Unit representative for the State Branch Venturer
Council (West Australian Youth Forum). I
was also proactive in opening a new Rover Crew for my local area and held the
position of Crew Secretary and a committee member or the West Australian Rover
Council. Whilst a member of the Scouts
West Australia I participated in many District and State events and camps, as
well as helping run the first Scout Leadership Forum for West Australia.
