Every time I go away on a holiday I keep a journal. I have stacks at home and they usually end up as thick and as heavy as a brick by the time I come home. And this is only for two-three week trips!
I glue everything into these journals - from plane tickets, to the menu of a restaurant we ate dinner at, everything is kept and glued into the pages of whatever lined journal i am using at them time.
I made my first journal when I was in year one. My parents were taking me and my two younger sisters away on a holiday to the East Coast of Australia to go to the theme parks and it was during school time. As a result of missing school my teacher suggested I make a journal and present it to the class.
And the tradition stuck.
At the end of 2014 I headed off to Switzerland for three months... can you imagine the size of that journal!? It was then that my mother suggested instead I write a blog about my time away.
And so Marsh-Mel-O's Adventures was born.
And so Marsh-Mel-O's Adventures was born.
Now, to appease the family left at home and the friends abroad, as well as to document my travels, each time I depart the country new blog posts are written!
